Royal Mail Strikes / Delays
Posted by Hannah Yardy on
You may be aware there will be strike actions with Royal Mail in the next few weeks and into November. To ensure you get your parcels on time we would like to just give you a heads up around these dates to plan ahead. Please note that the current strike days mean that parcels will not be collected from us on these days and will not move through the Royal Mail delivery system. Because of this we strongly recommend using FEDEX or DHL if you have a tight timeline for competitions or birthdays etc. During these strike days we cannot guarantee a collection so while you may get a notification saying your label has been created it may not move...

Why Wear Deadlift Slippers?
Posted by Owen Hubbard on
Deadlift slippers have been around for years but never really changed, but why do we use them? Deadlift slippers are used all over Europe, from France to Italy and in the UK. The reason I prefer a slipper to other “shoes” is they ensure you get as close to the floor as possible. Powerlifting is all about margins and if you can get the support from a shoe that also doesn’t raise you off the floor then this is a no brainer! A7 deadlift slippers for example have a 3mm sole meaning getting close to the floor is ticked off the list. The other dimension of a good deadlift shoe is stability.
