About Us
On a very hot and humid day in 2015, Jasen had an injury when squatting in a gym in Atlanta. This gym did not have air conditioning and even with adequate chalk the barbell slipped and rolled down Jasen’s back during squats resulting in damage to the ligaments in his elbow. This injury brought on frustration but also desire for a solution. Jasen realised that if a silicone type grip were applied to the back where the bar rests it could hold up better in similar anti-friction conditions. Proof of concept samples were quickly produced and they worked well. The first order for production was placed and a website was opened in August of 2015. For over two years the idea that grew to A7 slowly blossomed finally into a company with a product for sale that can help others. It was realised with this same principle of improvement and focus applied that A7 can make a better experience in many more product categories.
From here A7 flourished and moved from strength to strength, and in 2018 A7 came to Europe in the form you see now. We have always strived to offer you the best quality, customer service, and innovation to help you lift easier, safer, and with confidence to be the ever-evolving best version of yourself. We are a close-knit team of 3 and all of us have strengths sports close to our heart. Whether it’s competing, helping out at competitions or just being the best hypeman you can be in the gym. Life is a lot like the constant push for the new PR or PB. Once you pass one milestone, your focus is aimed at the next.
