Are Bar Grip T-shirts allowed in powerlifting competitions?

The Bar Grip was not designed for competition. It was designed to optimise less than ideal training condition. The bar grip might not be allowed in competitions (IPF or otherwise) but is an aid for when trying to push hard in the gym each and every day. HOWEVER if you compete in strongman you are in for a treat. We have a strongman specific design that is perfect events such as atlas stones, yoke carries, log presses and obviously back squats.

What exercises could I use bar grip for?

The traditional Bar Grip shirt was originally designed for commercial gyms when squatting with no centre knurling and benching on benches that are far too thin and rickety for any normal human being. But the A7 family have been using bar grips for a load of other activates. We’ve seen customers using the bar grip for hip thrusts, gymnastics and even shot put!
